Previously known mainly for her cameo as one of Anton Newcombe's buddies in rockumentary Dig!, where an embryonic version of 'Something For You' can be seen and heard (albeit briefly), Sarabeth Tucek isn't quite the household name her smoky, rich tones crave just yet.
What's the betting, though, that once this glorious slab of Mazzy Star/Madder Rose-esque greatness echoes its way through several speakers and radio dials, the diligent efforts of Ms Tucek will be duly rewarded.
As captivating as the main track on this single is, if you want to be mesmerised to a hypnotic state of consciousness may I recommend the Tim Holmes remix of 'Something For You' on the flipside, which sounds like The Beatles' 'Tomorrow Never Knows' being cut to ribbons by the evil twin forces of Sonic Boom and Jason Pierce. Which of course it isn't, but we can only but wish...
