Ahhh, Bedouin Soundclash.
To say that opinion is divided would be... wrong, as a matter of fact. It seems to be more of a case of the inquisitive "Who?", a casual shrug of the shoulders or the occasional, "Oh, it's that lot from the mobile phone ad". Like who hasn't done a mobile phone ad these days? But anyway, Bedouin Soundclash: much derided around DiS mansions, yet it's hard to hear why.
Granted, they aren't doing anything strictly new, but at the same time they aren't offensive - and not suicidally dull inoffensive - and actually know their way around a decent tune and organic bassline.
Okay, so Jay Malinowski's vocal may grate after a while - certainly the second track on here, 'One Way', should come with a skip button activation warning, such is its descendency into UB40 territory - but the title track the closing 'Jeb Rand Is Sailin' On' prove that musical and cultural cross-breeding isn't neecessarily a bad thing.
On second thoughts, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to just wait for the album, as past efforts have shown that their more complex, imaginative songs usually lay untouched on a long player. Equally, don't dismiss '12:59 Lullaby' either, as its dub-tinged comedown sums up the post-summer mood to a tee.
