Coming of age is paramount to success in the world of music. Some bands never do it, plundering the toilet circuits with sub-standard tunes and even lesser standards of musical dexterity. *Hollywood Ending *(née Lazy Jack) came to my attention almost a year ago with a spritely demo, which naturally required a little practise and honing of talents. The tunes, however, were all there. They are still there. In fact, they are here.
Now, the talents have now been honed, undubitably with that little bit of practise. Inside you will find glorious three-way extremo melodies and harmonies conforming and contorting every EmOtherapy trademark riff you’ll have ever heard. With hooks and spears catching you with each snarled chorus this is the new sound of the - decidedly British - disaffected youth. With the American after-hardcore scene prospering beyond all recognised intent on these shores, *Hollywood Ending *know that now is their perfect time.
