Since their inception in the spring of 2002, UK quartet Hollywood Ending have been busy refining their own take on the post-millennial rock scene.
Equal parts muscular rock melody, post-hardcore intensity and simple heartfelt groove, they provide a stunning example of how rock bands can continue to innovate and evolve without losing passion or drive.
Signed to Mighty Atom Records (the Welsh organization responsible for discovering Funeral For A Friend, Hondo Maclean and Electric Eel Shock), they release their first record, the ‘Beginning Of The Middle’ EP in March 2004.
Produced by Joe Gibb (Funeral For A Friend, Million Dead, Johnny Truant) its four tracks showcase the different talents of the group… from the driving force of opener ‘You To Myself’, to the harmony-laden expanse of the title track. (Indeed, with three singers in Hollywood Ending, you get some amazing three-part harmonies!).
Early shows with bands such as This Girl, Jetplane Landing, Anti Hero and Tribute to Nothing have helped sharpen up the band’s performance and so it would be fair to say that 2004 looks set to be their year!
