The Next Autumn Soundtrack

Demo

Label: Release Date: 02/04/2003

sean by Sean Adams April 2nd, 2003

There's something special going on here.

The recording's not exactly something to write home about, a little layer of fuzz sitting neatly over the loud bits, but I'm writing to you and you'll listen to anything, as long as it's good, wontcha?

The Next Autumn Soundtrack come from Grimsby, and, apart from that, all I know about them - and all I need to know - is within these two songs. Two tracks that sound like an EMO band floating around on the moon, resting their amps on radars and playing to a cross-legged crowd of aliens. If you've heard Planes Mistaken for Stars, Remy Zero and Oceansize, put those thoughts all together and then this will make a lorra sense. Or not.

TNAS hit with warm bass and math-rock drums and stop the world to ask, in their sweetest of soaring voices: "Can I wear your soul?" on 'I Said Anything Goes, So Everything Went' - a 3-minute pop song perfectly stretched into 6-minutes of soundscapes.

Something tells me they might own a U2 record but it'll be hidden away somewhere behind some Mogwai and Rival Schools. They most probably hate Bono too, and who doesn't?

They dont have a website yet, so if you wanna get in touch with the band email sammiec20@hotmail.com. 2 tracks, 12 minutes. Something tells me this won't be the last you hear of 'em on these 'ere pages...
