DiS Tour #4: OCEANSIZE
sean by Sean Adams April 8th, 2003
DiS faves do DiS tour...

This tour-sponsoring malarkey is great. We have favourite bands, we ring up the label, agent, manager and they let us put our name to a set of dates (not to mention this time around putting together a damn fine London Alldayer bill!). Already this year we've bigged-up and been a part of the rawk of Reuben, Kinesis and Biffy Clyro; and now we bring you the UK's finest ethereal art-rock grafters, from Manchester, signed to Beggars Banquet, OCEANSIZE!

The tour is in support of their new EP 'One Day All This Could Be Yours' (5th May on CD and 10" Vinyl) by the band that Rolling Stone described as "triple-guitar paradise" at 2002's South by Southwest festival. They continued "'Relapse' is an EP-size bite of their heavy golden drone, the nine-minute title track affirms everything that knocked me out that night. While everyone else is going back to the garage, Oceansize are headed for the outer limits.".

Sold yet? Course you is! Here are the dates...

April
Tues 29 Nottingham Rock City
Wed 30 Wolverhampton Little Civic

May
Fri 2 Leicester Sumo
Sat 3 Glasgow Barfly
Sun 4 Leeds Joseph's Well
Mon 5 London Underworld Alldayer
Tues 6 Northampton Soundhaus
Wed 7 Reading Fez Club
Fri 9 Liverpool Barfly
Sat 10 Middlesbrough Arena
Mon 12 Manchester Band on Wall

Main support band will be confirmed any day now (we've got too many good bands to choose from) and there will be some damn fine local supports, hand-picked by us crazy-eyed DiS kids where we get our say.
