The live music arm of Drowned in Sound continues to do a fantastic job, tonight they're putting on perennial favourites Johnny Foreigner, but it's another noisy band we're concerning ourselves with this time, as Les Savy Fav have just announced a UK tour for early next year. This fortunately includes a Drowned in Sound show, which takes place at Corporation in Sheffield on February 27. See below for the full list:
February
22 - NME Brats @ Heaven, London
23 - The Globe, Cardiff
24 - Moho, Manchester
25 - Sounds Bar, Birmingham
26 - The Kazimier, Liverpool
27 - Corporation, Sheffield
March:
1 - The Tunnels, Aberdeen
2 - Cluny, Newcastle
Tim Harrington had this to say about it. We think. It could just be an old quote...
"We started playing the new songs out live and they are so fun to play that we suddenly want to play them more and more. This spring/summer we are looking forward to doing more shows then we've done in a long time. Playing unique/crazy festivals and stuff is great but there is something about bringing all of our energy into a small dank sweat filled room- the energy is so concentrated that it feels like the place could blow open like a shook champagne bottle."
The band will also release a new single - 'Dirty Knails' - to coincide with the tour, which counts as more good news.
