The highly acclaimed Morning Benders have a status approaching that of a 'buzz band' on the other side of the Atlantic. The levels of interest in the Californian group over here have not quite reached those heady heights yet, but you can understand at least some of the clamour around them. Back in February they released a single, taken from their forthcoming record, Big Echo. That LP will hit the shelves on June 28 through Rough Trade. Amazon says it's out already, but we assume that's as an import, so you may have heard it all already.
They've now released a video for 'Promises', following on from the one for the previous single 'Excuses', which can be downloaded here. Funnily enough, 'Promises' was the b-side for 'Excuses'. The video was directed by Aaron Brown and Ben Chappell of Focus Creeps, if you're interested in that sort of thing.
