Buffetlibre link up with about a million artists worldwide for Amnesty's PEACE
JoeDiddly by Luke Slater February 3rd, 2010

DJ Produce duo Buffetlibre have announced yet more names for their Amnesty International supported compilation, entitled Peace, which now features over 50 artists from across the world including, of course, the UK. Their aim, they say, is to create a musical atlas, with contributions from people of all nations and origins. There's even a band from Ireland which isn't U2! I know!

The most notable newly added artists this time are:

Marc Almond
Mogwai
Micah P Hinson
Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin
Catherine AD
Stereo Total
The Hidden Cameras Heiddy Happy in collaboration with Calexico's Paul Niehuas

...and a few more. They join some, arguably even more notable, artists below:

Crocodiles
Dan Deacon
A Place To Bury Strangers
Voxtrot
Marissa Nadler
The Antlers
Spinto Band
Gregor Samsa
Jeffrey Lewis
Sic Alps
Port O'Brien
Buck 65
Darren Hayman
Patrick Wolf
Lucky Soul
Gyratory System
The Boy Least Likely To
Ane Brun

Watch the video below to see the full line-up. The graphics are a bit tacky, but it's an obstacle which can, and will, be overcome.

The first single taken from the compilation - Ivri Lider - 'Mike' - has been made available to download for free, too. You can get it from here. Plus, there's a whole fourteen more songs available to stream there, too, including Vieux Farka Touré, Voxtrot and Asobi Seksu.

PEACE will be available digitally worldwide on March 1, with buyers needing to make a minimum donation to Amnesty International through a specially-designed website. All donations will go towards Amnesty's humanitarian aid projects in areas of conflict.
