These New Puritans live up to their record's name, hide tickets across UK
JoeDiddly by Luke Slater January 14th, 2010

Easter may well be a little while away yet, Essex's finest, These New Puritans have started a little Egg hunt of their own, of sorts. The band have hidden (hidden being the key word here, as you will have probably guessed) tickets for their UK tour aaaaaaaaalllll around the country.

Yes, their album is called Hidden. The tour starts on January 25 and visits the following places. Below you'll also see the clues, which have been given on the band's website. You're going to have to put on your deerstalker and dust off your magnifying glass, though.

25/1: London Bush Hall:

"(Chiswick) On the highest road out west, a store filled with items to stimulate the pinna. Yeah yeah…"

1/2 : Brighton Audio

"Hidden at number 36 of the street named for the person who might tend your genera – get there first by whatever means, leaving the start line before anyone else…"

2/2: Birmingham Hare and Hounds:

"Hidden in the deep Antarctic backstreets of kings heath – bears might be hard to hide but there yours lie…"

3/2: Manchester Deaf Institute:

"Hidden in the book repository located in the square – consult the fount regarding ancient Egyptian burial practices…"

4/2: Glasgow Captains Rest:

"Measured with the logarithmic scale, we need to be wary of these cascades of powder, especially recently… in Glasgow seek a fall of records in a street named like the valley town of ontario…"

5/2: Newcastle Jukebox:

(clue to follow)

6/2: Leeds Brudnell Social Club:

"Leeds location 1: Nelly loxodonta in St John’s at the centre – a small envelope in a large store…"

"Leeds location 2: JG Ballard’s tract on these or 2) maybe you did it in your car? Either way you’ll find tickets hidden on the racks here…"

Get looking, then. The band release Hidden on Monday, January 18 - read our 9/10 review of it here, and watch the video for lead single 'We Want War' below:
