Laura Marling announces UK tour, to support Daniel Johnston
JoeDiddly by Luke Slater October 7th, 2009

Brit-folkstress Laura Marling is to head out on a UK tour in the coming month(s), but not before supporting the legendary Daniel Johnston on his UK tour. Cool, huh?

Ms. Marling has been working on the follow-up to 2008's Alas, I Cannot Swim, which will be released early next year, we believe. Work out where to get your slice of the Marlster below.

First up are the Daniel Johnston dates:

October:

31 - London, Bloomsbury Ballroom

November:

1 - Brighton, Concorde 2
2 - London, Union Chapel SOLD OUT
3 - Manchester, Great Hall
4 - Edinburgh, Queens Hall
5 - Gateshead, Sage
6 - Leeds, Brudenell Social Club SOLD OUT
7 - Leeds, Brudenell Social Club
8 - Bristol, Trinty Arts Centre

And then the headlining solo tour.

November:

10 - Birmingham, Ikon Gallery SOLD OUT
11 - Cardiff, Norwegian Church SOLD OUT
14 - Inverness, The Ironworks
15 - Glasgow, The Studio
16 - Fort William, Fired Art
17 - Mull, An Tobar
19 - Manchester, Salford Sacred Trinity SOLD OUT
23 - London, St Pancras, Old Church SOLD OUT

Here's what 'Ghosts' sounds like, taken from Alas. We would have given you the official video for it, but the people at EMI have engaged in the rather annoying practice of disabling embedding of their artists' videos. Practical.
