Wild Beasts christen new album Two Dancers, set release date and tour
JoeDiddly by Luke Slater May 26th, 2009

Animal crackers Kendalites Wild Beasts have announced the title and release date of their forthcoming LP.

The follow-up to last year's debut, Limbo Panto is named Two Dancers and will be released through Domino on August 3.

Before that, the aptly named 'Hooting & Howling' will be released as a single on July 20.

In a blog post Hayden Thorpe said:

It is a galvanised Wild Beasts playing streamlined and sultry. It is Wild Beasts as the ugly duckling now grown graceful and full. It is Wild Beasts as you have never heard us before.

Here's what the cover art looks like.

Wild Beasts - Two Dancers

Noice!

The Beastly boys will also be touring the length and breadth of the country - and a bit of Ireland - this summer.

Dates as follows:

July 10 – Canterbury – Lounge On The Farm
July 11 – Ireland – Oxegen Festival – Pet Sounds Arena
July 18 – Cheltenham - 2000 Trees Festival
July 19 – Latitude Festival
July 25 – Truck Festival - Oxfordshire
July 26 - Dorset – Camp Bestival
August 6 – London – Hoxton Hall
August 8 (TBC) – Ilkley - Moor Festival

The single is getting its first play on Zane Lowe tonight on Radio 1. It will be followed by a play on Marc Riley on 6 Music and John Kennedy on XFM, so tune in, beastophiles.
