We've gone for some mince pies... before we disappeared, we sent out this mailout and thought we'd post it here for those of you not on our mailing list.
Merry Chrismukkah and Seasons gruntings to one and all!
This is the last mail out of the year before we disappear for a few weeks to watch Home Alone 1, 2 and quite possibly 3, taste test various cocktail combinations involving Ginger Beer and/or Morgan's Spiced and put our feet on a pile of Wired, .Net and music magazines and pop on some headphones to listen to some great music (in fact, if you have any suggestions for DiS' editor, pop them in this thread)
To keep you sated over the break we have compiled some of the best bits of 2008 to browse, re-read and/or that you might have missed. Meanwhile, click the "latest" tab and you'll see that we're continuing to trickle out a few bits 'n' bobs but it won't be anything like 'normal service' (whatever that is) until January 12th. When we return from our slightly extended break we will have a feast of 2009 preview content and a resolute rant or two.
DiS has biiiig plans for 2009 and the "new site", which has been riddled with teething problems (sorry!), is currently only at about stage two of twenty. For instance, you may have noticed over the past week or so a little facelift, improved urls and that our live listings are now more comprehensive than they've ever been. Plus you can finally buy tickets to various gigs (we're still adding new partners) but that's just the beginning of improving one corner of the site.
That's more than enough from us, we'll leave you to slurp your egg nog and listen to the snap-crackle of an open fire.
DiS hopes you all have a great break and we'll see in the yes-we-can Future,
Seasons greets,
Sean Adams
