Manchester's finest... As seen blowing ethereal constellations of Tool-esque rock on tour with the Cooper Temple Clause last year. They've since signed to Beggars Banquet and recorded their debut album out this summer. This is the London date of this tour, the latest in a line of Drowned in Sound Tours (recent tours include: Reuben, Biffy Clyro, Span and Kinesis).
"...their highly textured sound veers from measured post rock minimalism to transcendent blasts of kick-ass multi guitar noise.....their sonic vision is grand, resolute and loaded with the kind of broad cinematic strokes that only the most confident acts attempt...." - The Fly

FOUR DAY HOMBRE
Kinda Elbow/Frames-like, with big swooping upbeat sounds. They won the Radio1 unsigned thing back in January and were playlisted for a whole week. They're from Leeds and their music is beautiful - what more do you need to know? Or as they put it "Simon and Garfunkel mugging Mogwai"

MÍNUS
Iceland is such a wonderful place and it produces so many amazing bands. This lot ain't any kind of quiet bunch. This is full on noize-fire. Think the Stooges in a microwave. Imagine rocks pummelling you from every angle, in all shapes, sizes, textures and tones. Or as Kerrang put it "redefining the boundaries of hardcore.." Oh and you say it Meeee-nooose, not Mine-us, k?

MEANWHILE, BACK IN COMMUNIST RUSSIA..
"They sound like an abortion" according to one Drowned in Sound writer. Q more sensibly reckon they sound more like: "A satisfying moodscape of swooshing Boards of Canada electronica, intense Sonic Youth-like crashing, textured guitar work, and bitter spoken monologues." Their 2nd album 'My Elixir; My Poison' is out now on Truck Records. New EP out on the new Drowned in Sound label in the future.

SEACHANGE
Nottingham noize-niks as seen with bands like: Trail of Dead, iDLEWiLD, Interpol and on tour with 80s Matchbox B-line Disaster.. put all those bands together and you're pretty close to what they sound like. And live, they're amazing, even BBCi agree "they exert so much energy, giving a new meaning to the statement, 'suffering for your art'!" And we at DiS said they sound like "shoegazing hyperspace". Their performance at the Good Friday alldayer was absolutely amazing, we're very excited to bring 'em back again on the day of release of their new single out via Gringo.
