Modey Lemon and Roland Shanks for Club Seal this Friday!
Modey Lemon and Roland Shanks for Club Seal this Friday!
gdobson by Gareth Dobson April 7th, 2005
London's most mentalist indie club, Club Seal has announced special guest headliners for this week - Rock n Roll US sh!t kickers Modey Lemon, plus up and coming art poppers Roland Shanks from London town.

The simple details are:

Islington Bar Academy, N1
Doors 9pm - 3am
£2 Entry / £1.50 Pints
£4 after 11pm / £2 NUS

Club Seal blurb:

The Music:
From the Pixies to Prince to Pavement, DJs Ollie Russian and Pirate Gaz will be spinning indie rock disco pop tunes all night.

The Blurb:
Friday is the new Thursday.
Those of us in London who appreciate our cutting edge indie rock on a Friday night will find that there's a paucity of decent offerings. While there are clubs that cater for the scenesters amongst us with too many Lou Reed b-sides stitched into our urban outfitter leather jackets as well as other clubs that offer a mediocre, middle of the road radio playlist with expensive bar prices. Club Seal hopes to change this. It brings the opportunity to excite your average beer buying socialite with tunes from bands she/he has heard of but hasn't yet heard; bands they will fall in love with next year and bands that they've already fallen in love with but have forgotten. Drink prices are low (£1.50 for beer/spirits) to keep the dancing dashing and hot new bands will play when it feels right.
