Worst Case Scenario’s latest split-release reveals a pleasing Bert and Ernie clash of styles this month.

SixNationState’s Ernie-like optimistic, fidgety jaunt ‘Keep Dancing’ is annoyingly niggly, like the ADD-addled lovechild of The Zutons and The Young Knives. It’ll get into your ears, under your skin and become impossible not to love.

On the flipside, Ox* may not feature a huge monobrowed yellow _thing_, (unless Photoshop has done an amazing job on the press shots), but their sound will be downbeat enough for Bert types from here to *Sesame Street. ‘Broken Silver’ doesn’t posses the instant pop thrills of the A-side, but a few plays favourably recalls such sighing types as Tom Mcrae.

A successful mixture then, although no gay rumours persist with these musical bedfellows, unlike a certain pair of bed sharing muppets…
