Simpson growls and warbles along in this resoundingly ‘vast’ sounding number which trundles along pretty nicely really. It’s a wannabe post-hardcore, affair that struggles to be anything but straight up rock. There aren’t too many dynamics to challenge the listener, there’s a lovely chugga section, albeit mighty brief and obviously there’s Charlie singing mighty gruffly over the top of some anguished howls in the background. You can’t really complain. Obviously you’ve heard it done in a million other songs. Obviously you’ve heard it done better in a hundred thousand other songs. But it’s still ok. Isn’t it.
