The Boxer Rebellion

All You Do Is Talk

Label: Poptones Release Date: 28/03/2005

8011
-Raz- by Raziq Rauf March 29th, 2005

The Boxer Rebellion has returned with another vitriolic splurge of tuneful and emotional indie rock: the song rumbles and tumbles along with near-monotonous guitars peppered with a snarling, rasped refrain.

With a sound that grinds and curls like Richard Ashcroft fronting the Cooper Temple Clause, Nathan Nicholson's troupe has provided this impressive taster of their forthcoming debut LP. Persuasive and captivating throughout, if there are more like this on the album it there will be more than just talk.
