Any band that releases a single with the lyric "_I want to find you/I want to fuck you up_" has some bravado, and Cherryfalls pull it off. Thankfully, they've yet to go down the woefully melancholic road of overblown MOR Keane-ness, and opt instead for a sound somewhere between Lowgold and a happy place. 'Standing Watching' adds that little bit of much needed rock to the ever-churning, moaning indie-machine, and thus isn't too bad.
Does the world really need another UK indie band? Probably not. But with a little less of the chiming guitars and some Prozac, they could be onto something.

Listenable enough, but seriously, not a lot to look at. That bassist seriously has a hair loss problem. I was in the front-i should know. But as these music-by-numbers bands go, they're not half bad.
Re: Cherryfalls - Standing Watching
I suffer from a similar problem myself and find tea tree oil on the hairline really helps. i did not mean to be offensive, i realise now reading over my last post that i might have been a little blunt. In retrospect, 'Standing Watching' is quite an achievement for such a young band.
Re: Cherryfalls - Standing Watching
i think if you're going to rate a single/band you should probably have the courtesy to refrain from being so personal. i'm sure the guys love to hear all the feedback but would probably just like to limit it to their music and performances. i think they are fantastic and destined for big things. i've seen them live a couple of times and they have such presence and make it look so easy. loved the first single but as for the "listenable enough???..." standing watching - i can't stop listening! looking forward to seeing them live again soon.
Cherryfalls - Standing Watching
I agree with minnie. I've seen cherryfalls three times now and they are one of my favourite live bands. I really liked Standing watching but hearing their other stuff at the gigs I know there is so much better to come. i am so excited for the new single and the guys are all lovely too. They are fab musicians, extremely talented and genuinely nice guys...good luck to them!
