Running Away

Label: Mercury Release Date: 22/07/2002

2071
athomas by Andy (quirk) Thomas July 25th, 2002

Something has gone wrong here. Debut single, 'Crawling In The Dark' was a memorable, if slightly average, nu rock record saved by it's big chorus. 'Running Away', however, ditches this saving grace and leaves a plodding drone of sanitised grunge MOR slosh. It's not kind but Nickelback appear to be the most obvious influence at work here. The difference of course is that the Canadian chart huggers rescued their track by making it 90%, you've guessed it, chorus. This is 90% verse.

And consequently it's shit.
