Having earnt his graft in The Smiths and Electronic, Johnny Marr returns with Healers where all the songs are written, played and sung by the man himself.
Healers' sound is nothing revolutionary, but it is of full on, epic proportions. 'The Last Ride' is a hypnotic, guitar fuelled indie blast, with a venomous, rousing chorus.
It must be said that Marr has been producing the tunes of Manchester's Haven and if you are aware of them, especially their last single 'Let It Live', then you can gather an approximation of Johnny Marr's Healers.
This may be Marr's last ride. If it be so, he's going out in style.
