Maureen

Label: Johnny Kane

Janeyferr by Jane Easthope July 7th, 2001

"A celestial body moving about the sun in an elongated orbit. A comet, making a rare appearance for the television cameras"

I’m glad music like this only makes a rare appearance on my turntable. It scared me a bit. Someone took sounds from my childhood and mashed them up. And I mean mashed. Black and White matinee films, Open University astronomy programmes, musical toys I pretended to be able to play, plus a mixture of half my dads CD collection (he likes some pretty weird stuff). The confused and distant sound is also reminiscent of my younger days.

The comet is nice whilst it’s passing through, but we must not wish for more, because we would end up bored and with achy necks.
