2001 seems to be the year for britpop comebacks. Along with new releases from both Shed 7 and Cast, come Echobelly, now releasing through their own indie label.

Musically nothing much has changed, a jaunty strum combined with Sonya Aurora-Madden’s familiar gliding vocal.

In short a strong if predictable return, especially for those of us in our twilight years (that’s 20+) who still proudly clutch copies of EGO and Lustra. Who’s up next, Sleeper?!

Echobelly - Tell Me Why

did a bit of minor editing so compain to me if u don't like it

Echobelly - Tell Me Why. yes please do

WHAT THE FUCK IS THE POINT IN THAT REVIEW

Re: Echobelly - Tell Me Why. yes please do

if you've ever listened to Echobelly you'll know they don't change an awful lot. they're just there, and they're pretty good. my article was slightly edited but to be honest there wasn't a lot to say. i could have talked for three paragraphs liberally sprinkling grossly oversized words into some metaphorical analysis. but there didn't seem much point. it's a cheery indie strum much like you'd expect them to sound. no great peaks of Great Things and no gradiose (but good) choruses like I Can't Imagine The World Without Me.

In short, on the good side of average.

Now don't you feel you've wasted a minute of your life reading all that?

exactly.
