An awe inspiring read that plagues deep into the readers mind.
‘“Why did you kill yourself?” It was the second time the voice had asked the question. The man did not want to answer, but words came out anyway. “What else could I have done?”’
Any book that opens in this way is never going to be an easy read- and this certainly is no exception. Instead it is a deep, fulfilling and soul-searching volume and one that certainly leaves a noticeable impression on the reader. Described by many as ‘the philosophy for the 21st century’ ‘Made For Life’ has been captivating readers worldwide.
Revolving around the opening question, the book acts as a spiritual guide, its deeply engrossed audience, combining spiritual guidance with the compelling tale of one man’s life. The story is both captivating and in places highly emotive right from the onset. In truth it is an enthralling tale of an individuals struggle for spiritual understanding and their search to that ever allusive question ‘What is the meaning of life’. It is a truly classic tale of wisdom that not only raises questions in ones self; it also provides many of the answers.
However it’s not a book for those who want graphic story lines, adventurous plots and action based tales, even though the book is subtly adventurous in its plot, and without wanting to give anything away, deviously deceptive in the ending twists. It is primarily a thinking book. Contemplative, profound and at times deeply moving, the story is both compelling as well as harrowing from cover to cover.
One could say that the backbone to this book is not found in storyline itself, but rather in the lessons it teaches, lessons that can be applied to many aspects of the reader’s life. Once started, it captivated the readers mind forcing them to read on…. I certainly couldn’t put it down.
And just to leave you thinking:
‘For every then, there is a now,
To delight in beauty, witness grotesque,
To reach height, understand depth,
To recognise full, first meet empty,
For every quest, a why and how,
With death, comes Life
And with Faith, fulfillment.’
‘The most exciting and unique book I have ever read and most of all it delivers a very important message. You will love it.” Uri Geller.
I couldn’t agree more; ‘Made For Life’ is an enchanting, yet equally meaningful read, I would definitely recommend it to those you like to think and, believe me, by the end you WILL be thinking!
