in the year for end-time prophecies to be fulfilled, zombie zombie release a record under versatile records and it's called 'rituels d'un nouveau monde' ('rituals of a new world'). a title in french aimed to emphasize and affirm the 'made in france'. without taking it too seriously either, the title of this album conceals the idea of talking about the spiritual language of music and of its magical universe. conveying, through sounds and rhythms, feelings that allow us to reach a dream-like state, the state of trance that is common to the african traditions and the caribbean where the 'ritual' is the process that allows to come in contact with a supernatural state, here called the 'new world'. the world beyond that etienne jaumet and cosmic neman are trying to reach while playing their hypnotic music.
