a bright 2011 just got even brighter. after a few side projects 2010, one of the best bands making music today, tv on the radio, follow-up on 2008's career-defining 'dear science', with 'nine types of light'. the album has been described as boldly catchy 21st-century noise-rock doo-wop soul. the album ranges from the psychedelic ballad 'killer crane' and the woozy reverie 'you' (both written by adebimpe) to the adrenaline-laced post-punk groove 'no future shock' (written by malone). atmospheric textures provided by a poly evolver analog / digital synthesizer enhanced many of the new tunes.

TV On The Radio - Nine Types of Light
The work of a band more than content to make a good album - a really, very, very good album, yes - but only because they can’t be bothered to make a great one.»
