'moth in the motor' is a collection of rachael dadd's studio and home piano recordings on broken sound music. the mini-album is available on limited edition 10" vinyl (only 300 pressings), with every sleeve hand-printed using block paint and a variety of linocuts created by rachael herself. every cover is unique and handmade to the last detail. the sleeve material is handmade himalayan lokta, each pressing is hand-numbered, and even the vinyl labels have been hand-stamped. rachael turns her hands to a multitude of instruments including banjo, clarinet, piano, guitar and harmonium to create an intricate sound somewhere between regina spektor, laura marling and tori amos. rachael has you captured from the very first bars of 'table' right through to the energetic and sonically strange close of 'elaine (in the kitchen with the matches)'. rachael dadd's music will slot effortlessly into your life as part of any good daily routine.
