The Spinto Band: Vivian Don't / I Think We're Alone Now
- Artists:
- The Spinto Band »
indie historians may recall the spinto band's neatly acclaimed debut 'nice and nicely done' album and their excellent follow up 'moonwink', which was released on fierce panda in the autumn of 2008. 'vivian, don't' is the second single to be taken from said opus following the chirpy outburst of 'summer grof' and, much like the rest of 'moonwink' it is a razzle dazzling delight of feverish melodies, happifying chord changes and clever tunesmithery. covers lovers may care to note that following the brisk pop delights of the spinto'd up version of the motors' 'airport' on the flipside of 'summer grof' this time around the sextet have opted for a sweet sweet massaging of 'i think we're alone now', the standard created by tommy james and the shondells, later made famous by tiffany and made infamous by snuff. esteemed company indeed.....release date: 02/03/2009
