One of the gnarliest, nuttiest discoveries of the year, *O’Death *are one of those acts who need to be seen live in order to be fully appreciated. A brew of receding hairlines, half-cut stares and a tidal wave of intensity, the Brooklyn quintet are the moonshining band of the year.
‘Down to Rest' is the sort of song that sways under its own drunkenness, creaks beneath its own toothless croak of a vocal, and draws you into a spit-and-sawdust paradise where the Mos Eisley cantina becomes a very real proposition for a surreal evening out.
Hugely enjoyable, but equally a nudge to go and visit them at your local madhouse for a glimpse of the fuller picture.
