Kelis back, gets Bossy

Kelis returns to the ways of record releasing this summer with new album Kelis Was Here. The album, due in June, will be preceded by a 12" single, 'Bossy'. Oh hell yes.

Kelis Was Here was actually committed to the can some months ago, but has been delayed by a series of factors, leading to the singer to state: "I feel like I've been pregnant for a year and a half and I'm ready for it to come out!"

Kelis commented on her personal blog, with regard to the 'Bossy' video:
"I cut off all my hair folks. I chopped it off in the first scene of my video and for all haters naysayers and just plain fools it was no weave, wig or lace front or extensions, it was the hair the good Lord provided me with for all these years and I feel again absolutely outrageous... it's my tribute to Salt n Pepa but year 2010ish... u know asymmetrical kinda style..."
