There's a new sooper-groop and they're all called Ben..

This week down-under, in the land of Oz, a new band called The Bens, featuring Ben Folds, Ben Lee, and Evan Dando's ex-Radish mate Ben Kweller, are touring. Starting in Brisbane on March 14th, The Bens will be playing solo, backing each other and playing a set of new songs as a threesome. They did also invite Ben Harper, but apparently he was too busy.

There will be a special collectors 'tour-only' EP with the following tracklisting according to thesuburbs.org.uk:

1. Just Pretend
2. Exfire
3. Stop
4. Bruised

We've heard insider reports that suggest The Bens will be playing the UK this summer (we'd guess at Reading). Check back for dates when we have them confirmed.

Blatantly The Bens is going to be the best supergroup ever. Not only do they share the best first name but also all three are musical geniuses.

I'm glad to hear that they should be coming over to the UK, as initially it seemed as if it was going to be Australia-only, and this lineup really is too good to miss.

Wasn't there a bear called Gentle Ben? That would be an interesting addition to the lineup. Then of course there's Ben of Bill & Ben fame. He'd do well too.

Theres this man in my town, the Rag 'n' Bone man. His first name is Ben.
He wanders the street at day calling "waaaaaaay", picking up pieces of scrap metal and other waste products. He's about 80. I heard he's actually a millionaire.

He pulls his cart in the middle of A-roads. And he don't pull over for no ambulances. Its called being fucking hardcore, dude m/
