Glasto: Tix News
sean by Sean Adams March 10th, 2003
Glasto is Go! But tickets ain't just yet...

We've heard warnings from the officials at Glastonbury that fake tickets are circulating. Tickets are not officially on sale until March 31st for this summer’s event, which is taking place from June 27,28 and 29.

Someone, somewhere, is making a killing as the ticket price has risen to £105 plus a booking/handling fee. Apparently this rise is to help pay for the extra security measures (i.e. the "super fence") which organisers have promised to the local council.

However, don't get too worried if you have bought tickets, they may be fine and kosher, just some websites are selling tickets which have not been "sanctioned" by Eavis and his friends at Mean Fiddler. More Info.

According to BBC Online, changes to this years festival include..
One less stage
Crime reduction team
Village liason manager
Money for extra police in villages
Car park clampdown
Security fence
112,500 weekend tickets
3,500 Sunday day passes
34,000 performers' passes
0030 curfew on Friday and Saturday
Midnight curfew on Sunday

Line-up so far...
CONFIRMED: Rem, Radiohead, Dave Gahan (Depeche Mode), PJ Harvey, The Polyphonic Spree and Sugababes
RUMOURED: Prince, Dolly Parton, Queens of the Stone Age, Supergrass, Flaming Lips, The Libertines, The Music, The Coral, Turin Brakes, Sigur Ros, Dave Gray, Super Furry Animals, Jimmy Cliff, Elbow, White Stripes, BRMC and Idlewild.
