'I Wish I Was A Girl' proved to be Violent Delight's first (and somewhat surprising) chart success following the strictly limited-edition, (and poorly charting) singles 'Secret Smile' and 'Same Old Story'. Their debut album, recorded with old Pistol Steve Jones and Dave Chivarii of Ill Nino, is set for release later this year.
National tour dates (avoiding the South West) are set as follows:
April
29th - Northampton Soundhaus
30th - Birmingham Academy
May
1st - Nottingham Rock City
2nd - Middlesborough Arena
4th - Edinburgh Studio 24
5th - Glasgow Kings Tuts
6th - Manchester Roadhouse
7th - Newcastle Northumbria University
9th - Sheffield Corporation
10th - Stoke Sugarmill
11th - Peterborough Met Lounge
12th - Southampton Joiners
14th - Hereford Manhattans
15th - Colchester Soundhouse
16th - London Underworld
