Pop Idol winner turned Actual Proper Pop Star Will Young has told a leading daily red top that he has little affection for the industry love-in known to us common folk as 'The Brit Awards'.
Young's actually up for one of those wee gold statue things himself, nominated as best British solo male or something, but he told The Mirror the following:
"I hate them (The Brits). If I wasn't forced to go, I wouldn't bother attending. It's just a strange event - so many egos in one room. I'm chuffed to be nominated but it's not my kind of thing."
He's looking forward to this year's Baftas, though: "You rarely hear actors slagging each other off but with musicians it's almost the done thing."
