Childs plays: Euros on tour

Gorky's' frontman Euros Childs is touring like some kind of bat out of deepest Wales in March to promote his forthcoming solo record, Chops.

Chops is released through Wichita on February 13th and is actually pretty The Good. It features lead single 'Donkey Island', which isn't to be confused with Monkey Island, The Secret Of. Oh no no no, although if anyone has a copy of said great game of my youth, please do get in touch. THANKS.

I like Euros and Gorky's...

...but I saw him live at a charity thing last year and it wasn't great.

He was very delicate and introverted and didn't pay much attention to the crowd.

By all means react angrily if you like if you feel I'm missing the point ('cos I'm well aware I am) but, even with subtle acoustic acts, I like some semblance of a show.

That said, if more acts included buffets at their gigs, the world would be a better place!

your assessment of him live is kind of what I would expect. Maybe that's a bad thing; should I feel like I've had a bucket of water chucked in my face? But I don't think it's as straightforward as show vs no show. I'll be going, probably to the Narberth date, so really I'll have to wait and see.
