Oceansize: One Day EP details

One of our new bands of 2002, release details of their 2003 release schedule...

Manchester Music have let slip details of the next release from 6-minute-explosive-milky-way rockers Oceansize. The follow-up to the 'Relapse' EP carries the title track 'One Day'. The record will also include 'Breed Siamese', plus a live recording from tonights end o'year party @ The Wytchwood in Manchester. Released March 24th, this'll be their 2nd on Beggars Banquet and we suspect will see the band begin to slip into bedrooms across the country and see their posters sitting beside the Deftones, Tool and Pink Floyd!

Apparently, they will release a follow-up in late May 2003, apparently with a re-recorded track from their debut on Soviet Union 'A Very Still Movement'. And then, apparently, the album in June / July 2003 - just in time for the festivals!

DiScuss: What do you think of Oceansize? Who should we put in support of Oceansize on a DiS tour? Are big songs with no chorus' the future?

I can't wait to hear this e.p. I own "A very still moment" and the "relapse" e.p and they are amazing. Oceansize are definateley a band to see live. Their skill and energy is not something that can be totaly captured on a cd. So if you haven't seen them, go see them. If you have seen them, go see them again.

er, actually it's call 'All this could be yours' and it's got Breed Siamese and Massive Bereavement (live) on it. M.B. is the one that starts all quiet and slow, then gets all heavy and fast. Oh, they all fucking do that tho, don't they?

Doh.

Any road up, just wanna say that this site is far more informative and cutting-edge than what i've been spending £1.50 a week on for fucking years. Nice one.

To KP: Are you actually my mam pretenting to be a big fan? If not, then i'm all chuffed.

Yes, touring. Doing summat in March for said e.p.. Dunno where tho...Hopefully one of them smart support tours where loads of people come and see someone else and end up stroking their beards at you all night. Top.

Can i take this opportunity to plug a gig by the mighty AMPLIFIER who will be being quite robust and fruity at the Borderline in big ol' London taaaahnn. Them headlining on THURSDAY. We're going so you should too. It's their 1st gig since May! Expect yer bones to be all achey and throbby after.
