Drowned in Sound is very excited to inform you that tonight on BBC2 there's a little bit of DiS history. At 7pm the Culture Show will feature Drowned in Sound Recordings critically-celebrated Martha Wainwright. If you're out gigging, it's repeated at 23.20pm. More details here.
To round-off a great year which has seen Martha grow from headlining Notting Hill Arts Club to headlining Shepherds Bush Empire via everywhere from Jools Holland to the Other Stage at Glastonbury to Patti Smith's Meltdown; we're releasing a new single 'Far Away'. On the same day (14th November) the Special Edition of the album is released to coincide with the its release in Europe. The new version of the record features three exclusive new tracks 'Baby', 'Dis, quand reveindras-tu?' (a French language song originally performed by Barbara) and a special duet with Rufus Wainwright called 'Bring Back My Heart' - you can hear the duet online at myspace.com/marthawainwright.
