Our cool anitpodean friends FISHING made a trans-atlantic MIXTAPE to document these Aviary shows we've been playing lately - one show every Tuesday for the last three weeks at the Social in London. The last one is next Wednesday (6th July) but I think it's already sold out (hahah! yes). I'm still a little bit hungover from the show last night but my manager tells me this is important so I'll talk about how cool the thing is using BULLET POINTS:

• Three cool bands every night guaranteed
• Hand drawn T-shirts while you wait
• Confusingly esoteric entry stamps. You know what I mean
• The infamous "Stairway of Eternal Flame"
• Sweet DJs! I swear last night I heard someone play Dinosaur Jr, Sonic Youth and Pavement all in a row

Yeah, so I can tell you this MIXTAPE is good. I'm listening to it right now. We've had a gnarly time ripping up the Social every week for the last month and to be honest, I'm going to miss it. Like a friend who you left to move countries but you know you have no option except leaving to find new worlds. The good thing is that this MIXTAPE is like the best photo of a perfect moment you had together you can take with you and treasure for the rest of your life as a sacred memento. In any case it's a pretty sweet mix and has good flow. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
