A new irregular feature on DiS where we ask an artist we like to make us a mixtape.
First up is a new act called FOE. So new in fact, she hasn't even released her debut single yet. It's coming soon though, via a new label called Stella Mortos on April 4th. It's called 'Tyrant Song' and it sort of has the eccentric-pop fizz of Patrick Wolf and the punk-spunk of Uffie dripping all over Kills-ish guitars soaked in grunge. Or just bash play and have a listen:

We've heard her on tracks with Entrepreneurs and noticed FOE making mixtapes on Soundcloud since we first saw her at last year's Great Escape, so we thought who better to kick off this new mixtape monday feature...
Especially For You (Drowned In Sound) by FOE

i like this idea
i'll be honest, i didn't dig the music much, but that's neither here nor there really, what i mean is that yes this is a good editorial way of showcasing an individual artist, beyond reviews and columns...
(both of which are great obv. but i guess have issues with people not reading unless they're familiar with the artist in question already/getting lost in a sea of recommendations/by the time an album's come out, everyone's heard of everyone already etc. etc.)
so yeh, i'd like to see more/the same of this even if it doesn't get the same number of 'hits' or 'facebook likes' or whatever as photos of Jessie J. even better if the music is good too ;)
