In The City 'Live' launches, DiS stage and birthday party details

This year's Industry festival In The City is fast approaching, with the date for the Manchester-based event being just little over a month away.

This year's ITC is the first of its kind in that 'live' wristbands will be available to buy giving you access to the various gigs and shows that are taking place across Manchester's fabled clubs, pubs and bars.

ITC takes place in Manchester on the October 18, 19 and 20 - in a whole array of venues. Performing that weekend are:

Frightened Rabbit, Televised Crimewave, Esben and the Witch, Ou Est Le Swimming Pool, Bicycle Theives, Crystal Fighters, The Drums, Clues, Hatcham Social, Munch Munch, Tripwires, NewIslands, Underground Heroes, Sharks, Telegraphs, Spycatcher, Cate Le Bon, Ellie Goulding, Simon Lynge, Asakusa Jinta, The New 1920, Attack Attack, Twin Atlantic, Bear Driver, Me Vs Hero, Saving Aimee, Young Guns, Futures, Wall St Riots, Taxi! Taxi!, The Molotovs, Goldheart Assembly, Capital, The Neat, The Sport, MAY68, Young British Artists, Visitor, Tek One, Cars On Fire, Wounds, Swound!, Wild Palms and LR Rockets.

Which is an awful lot, and let's not forget our own stage at the Manchester Deaf Institute, which will be a double celebration as it coincides with our ninth birthday. Bloody hell, nine eh?

On our stage will be what we think are some of the best talent around, naturally. We have:

Munch Munch
Frightened Rabbit
Esben and the Witch
Clues

Other stages and showcases of live performance come from NME Radar, BBC Introducing, Xfm, SJM Concerts, Now Wave, Big Scary Monsters, Swn, Front Magazine, Love Music Hate Racism, Same Teens, Future Sounds, Rock Sound, Fierce Panda, Sentric and Murkage.

So, if you're at all tempted by that line-up then pop along to In The City to sign up for your Early Bird ITC Live wristband for the sum of just TWENTY POUNDS STIRLING.

I'm pretty sure it was open to the public last year,

and at least the year before that..

this is going be good

excited by the lineup. and obviously there'll be the usual DiS DJing tomfoolery before and after el bands

It's been free and open to the public since I've lived in Manchester

£20?!
Do you have to have a wrist band to get in this year then?
