You know how there's always videos of child prodigies on YouTube? Like kids who are aged 8 and are as good technically as Joe Satriani or Steve Vai with a little bit more soul.
Or the four-year-old Japanese kid who does great impressions of John Paul Jones and Keith Moon. Remember that talent is no substitute for...well, a life as a kid.
Those boys and girls may be good but boy are they annoying. And not in the slightest bit cute. And none of them are cute while singing such a badass song.
This kid, on the other hand, is. Johnny Cash's 'Folsom Prison Blues' may never be the same again. Ever. It may be heading for 'cute overload' territory but at least this kid has chosen the right song to play, definitely. Shooting a man in the Weno is not really fair play, though, little boy.
The following performances are taken from the 2009 Spring Coffee Shop Jam, at The Columbia City Theater in Seattle, WA.
WARNING: This may get annoying after multiple listens.
There's more, though. How about some early Foo Fighters? Sure, why not?
And then the first kid, Wesley, returns for a rendition of the Hokey Cokey.
