Locomotive-themed indie-pop festival Indietracks have confirmed that their Sunday headliner will be none other than Scottish four-piece leg-ends, Teenage Fanclub. They'll play the outdoor - Elefant - stage.
We all know lovely pop music and steam trains go together like milk and honey - just look at Pete Waterman*. And he's a man in the know.
For those not in the know, Indietracks is an indie-pop festival which takes place at a railway - inside trains, at the train station and what not.
This year they team up with Spanish label Elefant Records to celebrate their 20th birthday.
So far the pick of the line-up looks like this:
Friday will see a low-key setup with Brooklyn lovelies Au Revoir Simone headlining that day alongside performances by Rose Elinor Dougall and Single.
Saturday:
Camera Obscura, Emmy the Great, The Frank and Walters, Butcher Boy, Wake The President, La Casa Azul, Cats on Fire, Manhattan Love Suicides, King of Cats, Speedmarket Avenue, Mighty Mighty, The Lovely Eggs, Poppy & Friends, One Happy Island, Pete Green and the Corporate Juggernaut, Sucrette, Friends, Labrador, Little My, Kevin McGrother, Ray Rumours and The No-Ideas, Modular, Downdime and The Rocky Nest.
Sunday:
Teenage Fanclub, BMX Bandits, Lucky Soul, Gordon McIntyre, Pocketbooks, The School, Tender Trap, MJ Hibbett, Disasteradio, Le Man Avec Les Lunettes, Roy Moller, Nick Garrie, Zipper, Ste McCabe, Moustache of Insanity, Hong Kong in the 60s, Loyal Trooper, Cola Jet Set, The Smittens, Countryside, Let’s Whisper, Northern Portrait, The Specific Heats, Help Stamp Out Loneliness, The Marshmallow Kisses, Eux Autres, Bonne Idee and The Understudies.
Indietracks takes place at the Midland Railway in Ripley, Derbyshire from July 24-26.
Tickets for the weekend are priced at £55 and are available from here.
