No Morning Jacket: band postpone European tour

Now for some more serious news... US alt.country rockers My Morning Jacket have cancelled their upcoming European tour, which was due to call on these shores in London on November 12th. The reason: singer/guitarist Jim James has failed to recover from injuries suffered after he fell off stage at a show in Iowa last week.
A statement from the band reads as follows:
"It is with great regret that we have to announce the cancellation of My Morning Jacket's up-coming tour to Europe due to injuries suffered by Jim James in Iowa City. For the fans who have purchased tickets, we would like to extend our gratitude for your support and understanding. Our hope was to merely postpone the tour, but as our scheduling does not allow that to happen in the immediate future, we feel it is best to cancel this tour in hopes of re-scheduling at some point. We would also like to say 'thank you' to all the fans who have reached out to Jim with their well-wishes as we all hope for his speedy and full recovery"

They've cancelled the last three times Ive gone to see them in the UK now. Gutted.

So are they going to make up the Nov 12th show? They were supporting Black Keys but I was going to see them.
I hope they know that they ruined Christmas.

That was why I got that ticket too.
Also, I believe Liam Finn was originally supposed to support for this show (and he's doing the other European dates) so Im guessing he might get involved again.
Still, The Black Keys might do some more Captain Beefheart covers with any luck. Im just not so sure about them at Brixton Academy.
Not Again!
I have no luck seeing this band either.
First time: they were provisionally playing in Aberdeen – half the band left, so it was cancelled.
Second time: Got tickets for Glasgow, Jim James had Pneumonia, so it was cancelled.
Third time: Awaiting the dates to make up for the previous cancellation. MMJ are supporting Pearl Jam on every date of their European tour….except the one in Dublin I am going to, when they played Glasgow the same date.
Fourth: this time.
Admittedly, Jim James and the band appear to come off even worse than me in the luck stakes whenever they are booked to play anywhere in the UK.

I saw them support Pearl Jam on that tour
in Madrid. They were awesome.
