Gameboy-squelch dance-noizesters Crystal Castles have bought the rights to use the image for their iconic 'bruised Madonna' tee.
The ongoing and somewhat public dispute between Crystal Castles and its designer, British artist Trevor Brown, has now been resolved.
The pirate-culture embracing Canadian duo began using the logo, designed by Brown, after seeing it on a flyer in 2006, using the image on a hugely popular t-shirt as well as ear-marking it as a potential album cover. When Brown caught wind of this he began blogging and speaking publicly, asking to be credited and for his share of the dosh.
The t-shirts were back on sale at the band's sold out show in London last week and news has now surfaced explaining the two parties have come to an agreement.
Speaking to Drowned in Sound, James Sandom, who represents the band, has confirmed:
"_Yes its the end of the saga...
When we took over their management it seemed an issue eternally on the horizon, but after a brief discussion with Trevor we have settled and the band has bought legal rights to the image._"
Writing on the Baby Art blog, Brown says, "Hallelujah. It's a miracle, there is a god! Crystal Castles have redeemed themselves – I've been paid off!" He continues: "I think Crystal Castles have paid the penalty for their indiscretions... Let's move on."

I didn't realise he'd commissioned his artwork for another release
That tapes looks awesome.
hmm
i think they could have got
George Michael for half the price
Painfully tedious trendy wanker crap.
I don't mind the music though.
That's lovely
Now if they could get around to settling with the people who's music and samples they ripped off, and actually play half the gigs they book, we could all be friends again.
