Greatest hits?!
*pisses herself laughing*
why piss yourself?
I think they're as shit as the next man (providing I'm not sat in the Manchester United dressing room, or dipping my penis in an elderly prostitute) but they've had a lot of 'hits' over the last decade or so.
first two albums are great.
third album is cack. fourth album was wattery shite running down your sweaty back. fifth was rockier but still a cold jizz buttered sandwich, and the last one was filled with so much "meh" it felt like a recording of the counterstrike n00bs server.
^
this was along the lines of what i was going with (the whole 'greatest' thing).
But to be fair I'd say they've only had about four/five big hits, no? i don't know to be fair I haven't really followed their musical career that closely...
it won't reduce the list somewhat though will it?
as I'm sure some of them will be greater than others.
'decade in the sun'
oh dear
All the stuff off the first 2 albums is gold
Then it starts going downhill.
But it has picked up a little with the last 2.
Nah
Dakota
Mr Writer
The Bartender and the Thief
Pick a Part That's New
Just Looking
Handbags and Gladrags
Madame Helga
These are all top 5 singles, with Dakota being number one. I'm sure Maybe Tomorrow, Have a Nice Day and a few others were top 10 hits. Most of their singles have been top 20. I think they're most justified than a lot of other bands to have a greatest hits album based on the number of hits they've actually had in one decade. This doesn't mean they're actually good though, but considering the Libertines have got one despite only having two albums, one EP and two top 10 singles, and REPUBLICA have got one, despite only ever releasing three proper singles.
this is all true.
Its just that Kelly 4ft 2 Jones is a cunt.
gold shit
good to hear that the fat hairy ex-drummer will get a pay day though.
he really deserves it.
