Watch: Fuck Buttons versus pensioners
Locked in your bedrooms, with one hand jammed down your pants and the other arranging your Of Montreal 7”s, you forget what the ‘real people’ think, don’t you?
Below, a few Fishtown, Philadelphia pensioners work their way through the morning mulch of Estelle, Jamie Lidell and Fuck Buttons as the Breakfast At Sulimays team give up their verdicts on the “tribal rhythms" of Street Horrrsing’s (review) ‘Sweet Love For Planet Earth’.

From the archive
there are a few of these...
...all are amazing.
Nice find Summers
the Deerhoof one's the funniest, I think.
haha!
his face at 5:05 is classic, 'this is just noise'
Is that one of my F**k Buttons shots?
Don't think it is y'know.
It could be... but I'm pretty sure it don't look familiar. I could be wrong though... Hmmm.
Anyhoo wicked find :)
talking about Joanna Newsom
"Music's not bad... until she opens her fucking mouth". Classic.
Best Fuck Buttons review I've seen/read.
Honestly.
i was laughing
the entire time.
dis should release all its reviews in this format.
I'm bored at work
and this is still only vaguely amusing
Hahaha!
"This is a buzz band"
:)
comments on 'Postcards from Italy' by Beirut:
'a girl could do belly-dancing to that music'
'it's all ok 'til they open their fuckin' mouth!'
Brilliant stuff.
Could've sworn it was mine
But I had to check to make sure. Impossible to get a decent shot of these guys.
one of my fave things i have seen in ages
i have already pointed loads of people in its direction as a result.
an amazing find
Same here!
Already sent it around the office... Joe is a dude.
Toby - I think that could be yours y'know! I'll go home and have a look through my shots - Diver's sure its mine but I'm just not sure - it looks too good to be mine!
I messed up
apologies.
I've never seen these before..
they're ace! Especially the guy who you can't tell if he's asleep or not..
On Beirut:
"This is music a girl could belly dance to"
Awesome.
Sorted my dear
Luby Prinston, no more confusion.
i managed to find one of them reviewing the mae shi
on a different website
http://blip.tv/file/1028126
this should
be next year's mercury music panel - they could seperate the Portisheads from the Fuck buttons (that is just noise - brilliant!)
Heehee I might hold onto that name!
See I knew it was too good to be mine!!
This has fair cheered me up
Makes me realise that music is sometimes best when not taken too seriously. Very good and look forward to more of these in future....!
"Is he from the Womb Tan Clan?"
hahahaha
I like Joe at the end best. What a guy. His Abe Simpson like stories.
.
Oh Joe, "TTFN as the English girls used to say"!
*of Montreal
:p
I think
Joe has a pretty reasonable point about the majority of contemporary popular music: metronome-like beats/percussion are usually unsubtly high in the mix.
