Buenos Aires darling Juana Molina steps back into the spotlight after 2006’s magnetic folk warblings on Son, with Un Día released on October 6 through Domino Records.
Over a decade on since her debut release, Rara, the former Argentinean exile releases her fifth record where, she says, “the songs are more abstract, with fewer lyrics, less literal imagery.”
And the tracklisting?
‘Un Día’
‘Vive Solo’
‘Lo Dejamos’
‘Los Hongos De Marosa’
‘¿Quien? (Suite)’
‘El Vistado’
‘No Llama’
‘Dar (Que Dificil)’
The lesser spotted Molina also has a few UK performances penned in:
August
30 Stradbally Electric Picnic Festival
31 London Open Air Theatre, Regent’s Park (supporting Jose Gonzalez)
October
5 London LSO St Luke’s (w/Max Tundra)

she was a tv presenter once, right? I always think her albums are 'so so' and don't see the point in it, but fair play to her, still bringing in the shows innit.
Yo
Good news, but erm, 'magnetic folk'....what's that? Anoher addition to the lexicon of 'pigeonhole-isms'.
