Daniel Johnston & Friends to play Rough Trade in-store

Saturday mornings. They’re the perfect time for hangovers, fry-ups and, if luck was with you the night before, the long walk of shame home.
Well for once, you might want to skip all that because acclaimed singer-songwriter Daniel Johnston is playing a rare performance at Rough Trade East, this Saturday at 11:45AM, with support from his friends – who happen to be Sparkle Horse’s Mark Linkous, Scout Niblett, Yo La Tengo’s James McNew, Teenage Fanclub’s Norman Blake and Jad Fair of Half Japanese.
The best part? It’s free. All you have to do is show up an hour early to collect a wristband for entry. They’re only available on a first-come, first-served basis though, so you might want to set that alarm clock.
