The End of the Road Festival has revealed its 'Chosen Ten' - ten new bands selected from a virtual mailbag of over 800 acts to play the annual festival.
Say the festival organisers:
"Some of these bands are unsigned and some are on small labels and they are all keepers of the DIY spirit. Having made it onto the End of the Road stages in the toughest of ways, they all have the potential to be the headliners of the future and overcoming such overwhelming competition - in terms of both quantity and quality - makes them arguably among the most exciting fixtures on the End of the Road bill."
The winners (click names for links):
Gossamer Albatross
The Accidental
Over the Wall
The Sylvias
Christopher Rees
Threatmantics
Lonely Ghosts
The Gentle Good
Revenge of Shinobi

The ten join a bulging bill featuring the likes of Bon Iver, Coner Oberst, Dirty Three, Mercury Rev, Tindersticks and Calexico.
