ATP's special Release The Bats event is to return to London after last year's successful debut at the Forum, which played host to Liars, Deerhoof, Deerhunter, Black Lips and Fuck Buttons.
On October 31 2008, the following - plus an as-yet-unannounced special guest - will line up at the very same hall, in Kentish Town:
Shellac (pictured)
OM
Wooden Shjips
Pissed Jeans
Andy Weatherall (DJ)
If you're after updates on that special guest, as and when, best click to the official ATP site here.
Just like last year, attendees are encouraged to dress in a manner best reflecting one of the participating bands. Pissed Jeans seems pretty easy. OM?
Of course, you could just wear a pumpkin on your face.
Tickets are £22.50 advance from HERE. Doors, half six. Sweet.

Btw, I am all over this like a 5'7 rash.
.
22.50 !
For Shellac
I'd go in a barbed wire suit, 'cause that's a pretty good reflexion of how they sound. Just need to make sure not to mosh with anyone...
Line Up.
I would be really interested in hearing Mike Diver's thoughts on this line up after the debate caused by the ATP NY thread. I personally am disappointed by this line up, for ATP it’s very safe 'seen it all before' (not always a bad thing) collection of acts and could be seen to reinforce Diver's previous views.
(Please note that I am not trying to entice an argument or insults etc just find it all very interesting)
.
Of course ‘very special guests’ could change all that!
